Independent Living Programs

Overview

RCAP Solutions offers several programs and services, which can help older adults and people with disabilities remain independent and safely housed. These services include:

• Home Modification Loan Program (HMLP): This program provides financing to homeowners and small landlords for accessibility renovations to keep a household member with a disability or an older adult in their own home.

 

• Financial Assistance for Renters (RAFT Program): Difficulty paying your rent? There is help available. RCAP Solutions administers financial assistance through the Residential Assistance for Families in Transition (RAFT) program, which can provide eligible households with funding that can be used to help stay in current housing, obtain new housing, or otherwise avoid becoming homeless.

 

• Subsidized Housing Programs: RCAP Solutions provides a comprehensive array of programs which assist tenants in paying for their rent, including the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP). These subsidies provide rental support for tenants in privately owned units. The tenants must be income-eligible and the units must pass program specific housing quality standards inspection.

 

• Affordable Housing Properties: RCAP Solutions manages several affordable apartment complexes for seniors, families, and individuals with disabilities and mobility impairments throughout Central Massachusetts. We offer on-site professional management, 24-hour on-call maintenance, and a resident service coordinator program, allowing residents to stay independent.
